My Maggie (aka MoMo) has brought so much joy into our lives. Our boys have too, and will get their own blog posts one day....but today is MoMo's day. She is dramatic, passionate, loving, and wild all wrapped in a sweet package. There are days that she drives me nuts and then turns around and makes it all worth it with a, "I love you this much..." arms stretched out wide.

I sometimes get frustrated and tired and begin to take for granted my time with my kids. No matter what happens during the day though, I am grateful for each moment I have with them. Go hug your kids today!!!

Getting ready for Lloyd...

I will be at Lloyd Memorial High School this weekend for the 2nd Annual Craft Show and Vendor Extravaganza. This one helps support the Lloyd Athletic Department. The athletes get absolutely no funding from the school board and fundraise for the money needed for the teams. This fundrasier supports all of the sports teams (officials, transportation, tournament fees, ets.). The reason I know all of this information, is because my Hubby is the new Athletic Director, and the basketball coach (he is also the assistant principal...we are very proud of him!). If you would like to attend, here is the info:
Where: Lloyd Memorial High School - Scheben Gymnasium - in Erlanger, KY
When: Friday Early Bird Show 6pm-9pm buy tickets in advance $5
Saturday 9am-5pm Admission is $3 adults and $2 students
Silent Auction held on Saturday from 10am-2pm

My CRAZY Life!

Just so you know....I have been a terrible blogger lately. Life has managed to intervene and become the highest priority around here. It seems like everytime I sat down to type, someone needed something RIGHT NOW! Anyway, I am back and have missed my venting/sharing/advertising time with you all. Okay the easiest way to catch you up is in list form...because...I love lists.

Reasons I have been away:
*Spending a little more time working on reading skills with the oldest
*Craft Shows
*The Princess had an appointment with the cardiologist over a heart mumur. Everything is fine...her heart is perfect! But I still committed alot of time to worrying.
*Craft Shows
*Dealing with the Middle prince's idea that he is smarter than everyone in the world....
*Developing the New Bootiful Girl Line for the website
*Craft Show planning for Mike's Athletic Department Craft Show
*Making items for my own booth in Mike's School Craft Show
All while doing laundry, cleaning (not as much as I should) and cooking....for my lovely family.

Well, We made it.....

Last week marked the first of school. The Coach began on Monday...craziness with his new job of Assistant Principal/Athletic Director. He loves it and never complains about the days dragging on anymore!

The boys both started school on Wednesday. Riley is in the second grade and Bailey started Kindergarten (sniff, sniff). I teared slightly as I put Riley on the bus, but quickly got it together while he grinned and waved good-bye.

Afternoon Kindergarten was a little tougher. Bailey insisted on riding the bus to school. I was already choked up as I walked to the bus stop with him, but as he boarded the bus, he turned and said ,"I love you Mom." That was it!!!! I cried all the way to school (yes, I followed the bus). I cried when he got off of the bus.

I cried when he lined up with his class.

I cried as they walked down the hall.

AND I cried until I called my brother who told me that was enough already.

Thanks Chad for being there to listen and get me back on track. Maggie and I went to the grocery and that would have been awful with me still crying. The next day was so much EASIER! Maggie thoroughly enjoys "girl time" with Mommy every afternoon and I am able to accomlish so much more with just one at home....lots of hats/bows being made this week!

Totally Cool Tuesday ~ April at See Kai Run

Just a few months ago I won a giveaway on A Giveaway Everyday. I was able to choose an adorable pair of shoes from See Kai Run. They have the most adorable, softest, super comfortable (according to my 2 year old) shoes ever! Anyway...I was so excited at my first giveaway win and chose this pair.

The Kaya style is evidently hard for dogs to resist as well. Last week when all of the kiddos brought out their new shoes to show Grandma, our dog helped herself to one of them. We went to eat and she was able to get the box off of the table, get the top off of the box and eat just one shoe. I know, you are saying, "How is this Totally Cool?" Well, I emailed See Kai Run to ask the impossible question of "Can I order one shoe?".

Even though they are completely out of the size we needed to complete the pair, the fact that April (at See Kai Run) went through the entire warehouse to look for that one shoe and was willing to sell me just one makes her my Totally Cool Person for this Tuesday!!! Because of taking the time to answer my crazy emails and to check for me....they have earned my business from now until we outgrow their shoes! Here is what September looks like for all of my MoMo Girls out there! On the 19th-20th, I will be at Evan's Orchard in Georgetown, KY. Come out and get some yummy apples, cider, or turnovers! On the evening of the 25th and the 26th, all day, I will be at the Lloyd Memorial High School Craft Show and Vendor Extravaganza. This one is in Erlanger, KY right off of the interstate. Super fun show with music, concessions, and a silent auction! All proceeds benefit the athletic department for this small school system. Booths are still available for those crafters out there! RV Vacation

Okay, so I am not a city girl, by any means. BUT, I am not an outdoorsie type either. We grill out, and play in the back yard, but that is it for me. So, my parents got an RV about two years ago that is the "mother of all RV's". This thing is bigger than my first apartment. The RV is the only way that I could ever go camping. Mom and Daddy were happy to let us borrow it. So the plans were set for our trip!
The Coach, the kids, and I left last week for an RV Campground in Cave City, Kentucky (Jellystone RV Park - it was awesome!) on our way to Burkesville, KY to visit family. We had a blast!!

The boys each had a couch that made a bed for them. MoMo slept on an inflatable mattress between them and Mike and I had the bedroom in the back. We played during the day and watched movies at night.

My Dad informed me that what we were doing wasn't really camping. I told him that it is the ONLY kind of camping I would ever do again!

Birthday Fun and Treehouse Building!

This weekend was my birthday. Now, I am not big on celebrating my own birthday like I do for the kids' (see past MoMo Birthday post), but we needed help building the Mother of all Treehouses in our backyard. Sooooooo, we had everyone come to our place to build the Taj Mahal while they could also "celebrate" my big day as well.

I got to have donuts for breakfast, Larosa's Pizza for lunch (my favorite) and a DQ ice cream cake to top it all off......so it was a good day. Here is what the rest of my family was focused on while I added ten pounds to my rear end.

Givin' Some Love to Maylee's Garden....Finally

Back in June....I know that was a while back, but it is crazy around here!.......I worked out a lovely trade with one of my Etsy buddies. Libby from Maylee's Garden is the head honcho for our Bluegrass Etsy Street Team. She takes care of us all, makes sure that we know what is up with the team and Etsy, and she keeps our blog and ning site looking very spiffy! She does all of this in her "spare time". She is a wife and mommy while making the most INCREDIBLE soaps! We traded her soap for my matching Mommy/daughter flip-flops for her and Maylee. Well, needless to say.....I think (in this deal) I came out smelling like a rose, a cucumber/melon, bubble gum, some strawberries, and a little blackberry.

Her soaps are so affordable that I got a heap of them in the trade. They are not like other handmade soaps that I have purchased in the past. They last forever!!!! The kids love the way that they smell, and I even caught a whiff of melon as Mike was getting ready this week (he likes it too).

All Fancy Nancied Out!

Well, we survived the party of the three year old! Lunch was eaten, presents were opened, and the candles were blown out! The house was covered in balloons, and even though I know that the decorations are more for me than for her, I do it anyway..... We were very "Fancy Nancy" that day. I got the greatest plates, napkins, and party blow outs from Celebrate Express. If you are planning a Fancy Nancy Birthday, they have a whole assortment of items to match the theme!

She has a host of new toys, dress up shoes, doll babies, and clothes...the kid did well! This year will fly by fast and I don't want to miss a thing! It will seem like just a few days until she is doing this for her fourth birthday......

My sister-in-law, Hayley, is an unbelievable woman. She is a a wife, a mother of three kids (under 5) , and a full time eye doctor. How is able to keep it together and look this good (seen here with baby Henry), all of the time, is beyond me! She has started a blog of her own and is documenting her daily life as wife, mom and doctor. Hayley is my Totally Cool Tuesday person of the day. She ROCKS!

4th of July Festivities!

Rain nor cold could keep us from our good time! The kiddos bundled in blankets watched as Grandad, Uncle Chad, and Daddy ran up and down the hill with umbrellas to light the fireworks for us.

It was quite comical! Finally the rain stopped and they were able to get creative, even make the first ever Sparkler Cooler! We all "Ooooo and Ahhhhed" over the display. The kids were priceless to watch.That face says it all!!! Here are some more pictures of the kids all wrapped in there blankets for the show!

It was a great weekend and we all had so much fun!

"Guess what Mommy? I'm three today..." were the first words out of my sweet girl's mouth this morning when she awoke.
She was correct. She is three years old today.
Since her birthday falls in the middle of the week, and very close to the Fourth of July celebrations, we are having her party on July 11th. That is a long time for a three year old to wait for her presents. So, her father and I gave in and the princess dollhouse/castle was opened and played with today.
She had a ball! Pretending that the princess and prince were talking to each other and riding horses all afternoon. Her brothers even got in on the action with the NASCAR guys visiting the princess after naptime.
Pizza was what she wanted for supper and a cake with sprinkles for dessert. I have decided that I might like to be three tomorrow....
Take a few moments to hug your babies a little tighter tonight, because they were once three just like my girl!...... And it all goes by so fast!

School's Out! School's Out!

Yes, it is that time of year again! When I was a child, I looked forward to Summer break almost as much as I did when I was a teacher. Now, that I get to have my big boy home and my sweet hubby gets to spend more time with us too, I think I look forward to that last day of school even more!!
We have already had a go on the water slide, had the annual yard sale, and have tomatoes ready to turn red...Summer is here! As the kids get older, I realize that these times of coming in the house smelling of sunscreen to rest on the couch and watch an afternoon movie, won't last forever. I plan to pack in as much fun as I can!
So, I have to run......the sprinkler has to be turned off before I can start the movie!

Graduating from Preschool and into Blogging!

Okay, here it is....my first ever blog post!! I am officially entering into the blog world. Today as my house sits filthy, my middle child getting ready to graduate from pre-school this evening, and the threat of in-laws visiting is looming over my head, I am going to blog. I know, strange timing. But I have to start sometime!
I think that this sudden burst of blogging desire is to keep my mind off of the emotional fact that my "baby boy" is getting bigger (and to procrastinate about cleaning). Last night as I kissed him goodnight, I told him that I was a little sad that he was graduating. His response was, "Don't worry Mommy, I will always be your baby boy and I will always have hugs and eskimos for you." After I left his room, I shed a few tears.

So, now that I am okay with the idea that he is getting older and moving on, I think that it is time for me to grown up and actually post on the blog that I have had for 6 months. Watch out world!!! I wonder what crazy thing I will need to do to cope when he starts college? Anything to keep from cleaning! ;o)
